So sorry for your loss.
Dear Bill, Babs, Cathy, and Tommy, My condolences to you and your families. I knew your mother for such a long time, and I will always remember her as a beautiful and gentle lady. May she rest in peace now. Love, Angel
When I first started visiting Dad and Barbara regularly at Tarrytowne Estates in 2009, Barbara was always happy to see me – at least for the first few hours. Then I think she wished she could wave a magic wand and make me disappear. But I totally understood. She had precious little time left with her husband, John, and was not very keen on sharing it.After a while, she came to tolerate my visits; and she even wanted to participate in the process of pulling all the pieces together for Dad's book that I was helping him write. Barbara was a good proof-reader, and I could always count on her for lots of editorial comment! We slowly grew closer, and just before Dad passed away, I even felt warm acceptance from her. I came to love her very much. And I will miss her witty humor, her beautiful smile and the way she used to joke with the staff at Tarrytowne.Barbara took great pride in her appearance – which was always impeccable. In my mind she was the quintessential true “Southern Lady” – graceful, charming, and possessing a discerning eye for what is beautiful and important in life.Rest in peace, Momma Barbara. You will always have a place in my heart.
Thinking of you with sympathy and affection.
Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
