Anna Bourgeios Davi's Obituary
Anna Bourgeois Davi passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at the age of 93.
She was the daughter of Alcede Dugas and Francois Bourgeois. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph J. Davi, her brothers Ivy, Claude and Dennis Bourgeois. She is survived by her loving daughter Jo Ann Davi Creech, her sister Grace LeBlanc, four beloved grandchildren, Kristen Creech Punch, Steven Davi Creech, Elizabeth Creech Brakel and Erin Creech Hassinger and five adored great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Davi was an active volunteer at St. Louis Cathedral Church and School. She was awarded the Order of St. Louis Medal - Senior Citizen Archdiocese of New Orleans, elected president of the St. Louis Cathedral Mother’s Club and served the parish as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a graduate of Scared Heart School and a lifelong resident of the French Quarter in New Orleans.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Louis Cathedral, 615 Pere Antoine Alley, New Orleans, LA 70116.
Visitation on Monday, AT THE CATHEDRAL, from 10:00 AM until service time.
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
Due to her extraordinary love of children, the family request that donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, be made in her name in lieu of flowers.
