Agatha "Mickey" Eagan Wakeley passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016. She was born on Sunday, December 1, 1940 in New Orleans, LA to Edna Marie Hackney and Lawrence A. Eagan and has been a resident of Bedico, LA since 1996. For Read Obituary
I will miss Mickey so much! She always knew everyones name and we talked of our children and grandchildren. Sweet lady that was so proud of her family :)
I won't empty an egg carton without wanting to bring it to her for her daughter that raises chickens.
Ms. Mickey will be missed as she always had a warm greeting. Prayers go out to her family and her husband during this difficult time. RIP Ms. Mickey

I was her hairstylist for many years and we loved chit chatting about the latest events in our lives.
She always said if I go up on my prices to be sure and let her know so she could give me more. Lol
What a sweetheart and genuine lady.

I just returned from an "off-the-grid" trip to Alaska and found the news of Aunt Mickey's passing. My heart goes out to you as you help one another through these tough days. To quote a borrowed rhyme, "Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow."
I am so-o-o-o glad that Ann and I were able to make our trip to Louisiana last November to reconnect with you and update our childhood memories. Our evening at Meadow Wood Drive was a highlight and I know you all have many wonderful memories of time spent together there. Aunt Mickey was such a warm and gracious hostess. I'll treasure my memories of her as I keep the rest of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Although distance separated our families for long periods of time while I was growing up, I had a chance to get to know my marvelous aunt during Grandma Chris's last years when we all were spending lots of time in Ithaca. I will never forget Aunt Mickey's and Uncle Jim's many kindnesses to me, especially when I was expecting my first child and trying to juggle a job and sick grandmother in Ithaca with a weekly commute to see my husband 120 miles away in Watertown.
Mickey and I spent many good times on the swing under her tree. She was also a surrogate grandmother to my two sons. We shared stories and laughter that will always stay in my heart and my sons. A sweet and loving angel on earth, you will be missed but always remembered in our hearts.
