I just saw a program about your daughter and mother, Adrienne and her precious children. My heart broke to think any man, let alone a father and former husband, would act with such violence to his own children and their mother, who clearly did her best to protect them. She clearly loved them. Leaving took courage and strength with three young children. In my own grief from the past, I try to neatly place my feelings in a place of reverence and love. While I did not know her, I want to say that I won't forget her story. I have to believe her son is with her and that her thoughtful and lovely daughters will carry her legacy and life forward. I am so, so sorry this happened to your family.

Adrienne and Me were best friends for 10 years. She had a glow about her, and joy that touched everyone around her. I love Ashleigh, Aleisha and Zack like my own children, Ariel & Paul who are their cousins. I'm proud to say one particular memory, the birth of Aleisha, shines bright like her smile. Aleisha was born in my hands on the way to the hospital. Before that Adrienne and I learned together, how to become the great mothers and women we grew to be. I have many wonderful memories of Adrienne and her children dated all the way back to her early teens. She and I became friends the instant we met, only a short time later we were Best Friends. Everyday I'll cry for her, like she cried for me. Everyday I'll love her, like she loved me. Everyday I'll miss her, like she missed me. Everyday I'll need her, like she needed me. Everyday I'll love her girls, like I promised her.

Everyone at Mandeville Elementary was touched by the loss of Ashton. Please know that everyone has been so supportive and showed such caring for our wonderful kindergartner. He will always have a place in our hearts. Please know that we are here for the girls.

Although I did not know Adrienne and Ashton, my heart and prayers go out to their family and friends. They are with God now. Only God knows why something so tragic took their lives. It may be that this tradegy will open the eyes of other women in similar situations, and countless lives will be spared because they will now have the courage to leave and go to a safe place. Listen to the advice of the police. There are places to go to protect you and your children. It is a very hard decision to make but could very well save the lives of other women and children. I pray for her family and friends and the heartache they are going through, but do know as tragic as this is, God had to have a reason, and they are angels now looking out for others. Dear family and friends of Adrienne and Ashton, please know we are praying that God may send angels to you, to wrap their wings around you and comfort you as you mourn the loss of this sweet mother and her baby. I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with all of you that are left. I know Barbara and Eric Souleau from the CFMA. We had just seen them last Wed. So sorry that you had to go through this. We cannot make the funeral, but know that our minds and hearts are with you.
