Yvette Bourgeois Barbazon's Obituary
Yvette Bourgeois Barbazon passed away on December 26, 2022 in Covington, LA at the age of 74. She was born on May 1, 1948 in Folsom, LA to the late Royal Joseph Bourgeois and Ella Louise Gotti Bourgeois.
Yvette was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Louis J. Barbazon; and her sister, Wanda Bourgeois. She is survived by her daughters, Anne Bankston (Larry) and Bridget Barbazon; her grandchildren, Brittany Luck, Rebecca Laub, Ashleigh Gottschalck, Johnathan Bankston, Jessica Springer, Nate Andersen and Ethan Andersen; her 16 great grandchildren; and her siblings, R J Bourgeois, Ella Louise Bourgeois, Regina B. Core (Barney) and Roger Bourgeois (Gwenda).
She was a parishioner of St John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a member of the Altar Society. She was affectionately known as Auntie or DoeDoe by many children in the community.
Relatives and friends are invited to the attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, December 30, 2022 at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 11345 St. John Church Road, Folsom, LA at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM until service time. Burial will follow the mass at Bogue Falaya Church Cemetery, 14278 Highway 1077, Folsom, LA.
