Yolanda L'Hoste Waguespack
October 8, 1956 – April 18, 2026
Yolanda passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith and immense love for her family.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Warren Waguespack, Jr.; her children, Michael Waguespack (Jeff) and Nicole Thibodeaux (James); her grandchildren, James “Trey” Thibodeaux, III and Jordan Thibodeaux; her siblings, Lester L'Hoste Jr. (Linda), Craig L'Hoste, Keith L'Hoste, and Michele L'Hoste (Ken), along with many nieces and nephews.
Yolanda was preceded in death by her mother Jacqueline L'Hoste her father Lester L'Hoste, Sr.,her sister-in-law Earline L'Hoste and her sister-in-law Melissa L'Hoste.
Yolanda was the matriarch of her family, exemplifying strength, grace, and steadfast devotion. She took great joy in hosting holiday gatherings, preparing elaborate meals for family celebrations, and ensuring each occasion was elegant, inviting and full of love in every detail.
She will be fondly remembered for her love of travel and her remarkable ability to transform each vacation into a treasured family adventure. Her life was marked by charity, selflessness, and an enduring commitment to her faith and loved ones.
She will be deeply missed and will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Church on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Please join us for the rosary at 12:45p.m. followed by a Mass beginning at 1 p.m.
