W.T. "Rip" Wicker's Obituary
W.T. “Rip” Wicker passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012. He was born August 29, 1938 to the late Seaborn Richmond and Lula Mae Corbin Wicker.
The beloved husband of Allison Litolff Wicker, he is survived by two daughters, Wendy Wicker Talley (Terry) and Wanda Ann Wicker; one son, Wayne T. Wicker (Valerie); one brother, Seaborn “Seab” Wicker, Jr.; one granddaughter, Megan C. Wicker and his faithful canine companion, Rocky. He was preceded in death by his sister, Edna Ann Dunlap.
A native and life resident Abita Springs, Mr. Wicker spent a large part of his life in civil service. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Captain from the Louisiana State Police after 35 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 26, 2012 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
A wake is scheduled to take place Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 6-9:00 PM with visiting hours beginning Friday at 9:00 AM.
Interment at the Abita Springs Cemetery will immediately follow services.
