Woodruff Word "Woody" Faulk's Obituary
Woodruff Word “Woody” Faulk passed away on Friday, February 13, 2009 at the age of 87.
Beloved husband of Shirley Pennington Faulk.
Father of Dr. Woodruff W. “Woody” Faulk, Jr. and Charles Stephen “Steve” Faulk. Son of the late Ella Lee Baker Faulk and Rev. Haughton Keith Faulk. Brother of the late Keith Faulk of Alexandria, LA. Also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He graduated from SLI in Lafayette, LA, served as an officer in the U.S. Navy during WW II and then worked and retired from Chevron Oil Company after 35 years of service and was a longtime member of Madisonville Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 with visitation on Tuesday beginning at 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Theodore Dendinger Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the American Cancer Society.
