Wonnadean Burks Kritz's Obituary
Wonnadean (Burks) Kritz of Mandeville, LA, formerly of Tyler, Texas and Palos Park, Illinois passed away of natural causes Sunday, November 29, 2009 in her home. She was 84. A private family memorial service will be held Friday at St. Timothy Methodist Church in Mandeville, LA.
Dean, as she was affectionately called by family and friends was born June 2nd, 1925 in Fulton, Missouri. On June 17th 1944, she married her high school sweetheart R. Hardin Kritz. They had been married for 65 years.
Dean attended William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri to pursue a nursing degree. She was a wife and a homemaker to four children. Her faith and love of the Lord overflowed into her position as Elder at Palos Park Presbyterian Church, discussion leader with Bible Study Fellowship, church choir and thousands of volunteer hours at the community hospital in Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Helena (Wonneman) Burks, her sister, Dorothy and her son Stephen. She is survived by her husband, Hardin and her three children, Michael (Jaime) of Mandeville, LA., Kathy (Jim) Bingley of St. Louis, Mo., Mark of Denver, Co., 11 grandchildren, Kyle, Jennifer, Luke, Drew, Jake, Keely, Michael, Erik, Stephen, Brittany, Simon and 7 great grandchildren.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be remembered for her strong faith, caring nature and warm personality.
