Dear Jerry,
I know it must be very difficult for you and your family to lose your father, especially so close to Christmas. Just two years ago, on Dec. 9, I lost my dad.
Knowing you through our work at Fort Knox, I have a pretty good idea what a great father and good man Red was. He must have been well respected by those he worked with and adored by friends and family alike. Plus, he liked crawfish, right?
My thoughts are with you and your family. I'm sending you a long distance hug.

Dear Wanda and family, I was very sorry when Tracie told me that your dad had passed away. My heart goes out to all of your family. I will always remember "Red" as a very funny man. The first time I met him, he hit me with his jokes and antics. Everytime after that when I saw him, be it at your house or at Tracie's, I had to ready myself for all the jokes and antics that were coming my way. He always made me laugh!!! I will always remember the "character" that was "Red". Please send my heart felt sympathy to your mom and let her know you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this time. My heart goes out to all of you at your time of loss. Mr. Red was a great man. I have missed all of you over the years and think of you often - I didn't realize we were only separated by a lake. I know you will dearly miss Mr. Red's physical presence, but his spirit will always be with you. I wish I could attend the service and share my condolences personally.
