My Thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to the family and friends of Willie Cox. I worked along side Willie for years as an electrician on many jobs wile he was doing plumbing for contractors. He was always good company to have on the job and just fun to be around with his sense of humor. After starting my own business I stayed close friends with Willie many times he would send work my way and helped me out greatly in the slow times. I'm truly blessed to have known such a good man who I know everyone who knew him will miss Willie.

Willie became my plumber about 2 years ago. It's so great that he helped me gain more trust with my tenants. They were so trusting of Willie, that they were willing to leave back doors open, if they were going to be late. It's in a persons eyes. He had kind eyes. I'm so thankful for him.

My memories of Willie are at his dad’s gas station in Abita (1980’s). He use to work there all the time with his dad . and i went to school with Danny his midddle brorher .we was raise up with Danny Willie was a little older then me but he was a hard worker and allways would talk to u any place he seen u . my prays go out to his family ...
My fondest memories of Willie are hanging out with him at his dad’s gas station in Abita (1980’s). We always had a lot of fun. Some of the best times we had were when the Abita Creek was flooded and we would go tubing. Mr. Willie (Sr.) would find old inner tubes, patch them and blow them up for us. Willie, Jessie, Danny and I would walk barefoot, from the gas station down to the bridge on Talisheek Hwy. We would jump in there and float all the way down to the Abita Park. It probably was not the safest thing for us to have done, but it was a lot of fun! I have many great memories of us growing up together. I am fortunate to have known him.
