William B. Waldrop's Obituary
William Bryant “Bill” Waldrop, age 47, passed away Friday morning, September 25, 2009 at Lakeside Hospital in Covington, LA following a lengthy illness.
He is survived by his parents, Bryant and Mary Waldrop of Mandeville, three sisters: Deborah Bakewell and her husband Michael, Yvonne Slegar and her husband Michael and Elaine Conrad; two brothers: David Waldrop and Steven Waldrop and his wife Virginia; and seven nephews and five nieces: Christine Slegar, Chad, Sherri, and Kaycie Slegar, Melinda Bakewell, Christopher Conrad, Connie and Kevin Zajicek, Brent, Kaitlyn and Jacob Slegar, Stephen Conrad, Victoria Williams, Michael Conrad, Robin Matthew Williams, Sara Waldrop, and Stephen Waldrop.
Bill was not only special in his family’s eyes, but was cherished and loved by all those fortunate enough to know him. Bill worked for more than 15 years with pride at K Mart in Mandeville. Bill loved wisdom, books, learning, and music as special gifts of God. He especially loved the study of History. He always put the needs of others before his own. Those in his company learned by example how to lead a selfless and compassionate life.
The family would be honored by your presence at the funeral mass from Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4465 Hwy 190 East Service Rd., Covington, LA on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Visitation, AT THE CHURCH, from 10:00 AM until service time.
Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 W. 21st. Ave, Covington, LA 70433.
