William David Mitchell, Jr.'s Obituary
William David Mitchell, Jr. passed away on Monday, October 29, 2007.
Beloved father of Donna M. Fischer and her husband Scott, Gloria Mitchell and Ruth M. LaCaze and her husband David; grandfather to Eric Mitchell Fischer, Brian C. Fischer, Jeremy LaCaze and Rachel LaCaze; brother of Ruby Faye Neilson and Betty Morgan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie McClintock Mitchell; his mother, Faye Pauline West Mitchell; his father, William David Mitchell, Sr.; a sister, Maxine Qualls; and a brother, Joe David Mitchell.
Age 80 years, a native of Oklahoma, he had been a resident of Covington, La for the past 23 years. William was a Petroleum Engineer graduate of the University of Oklahoma, and retired after 36 years of service with Mobil Oil Company. He was also a United States Navy veteran.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday will begin at 9:00 AM.
Interment will follow services in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
