William Eugene "Billy" Metcalfe Sr.'s Obituary
William Eugene Metcalfe Sr., lovingly known as “Billy” to everyone who knew him,
was born in New Orleans on July 31, 1966, and passed away peacefully there on
Friday, May 22, 2026, at the age of 59.
Billy will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for heavy metal music,
and the joy he found in playing drums and watching movies from his extensive DVD
collection. He cherished spending time with those he loved most and never missed
an opportunity to remind them how much they meant to him. No matter the
conversation, Billy never ended a phone call without saying, “I love you.”
He leaves behind his former wife, Lisa Camaille Keller; his beloved grandchildren,
Destiny Bard, Kristianna Metcalfe, and great-grandchildren Kameron “KJ” Peterson
Jr., Zayne Lewis; and his soon-to-be-born great-granddaughter, Gabrielle LeAnn. Billy
also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who will carry his
memory with them always.
Billy was preceded in death by his only son, William “BJ” Eugene Metcalfe Jr.; his
granddaughter, Nanette Gabrielle Metcalfe; and his parents, Vivian Pearson Metcalfe
and Samuel Eugene “Gene” Metcalfe.
He will be deeply missed and never forgotten by all who knew him
