We first met Fr.William in 1994 when he came to St.Janes/St Michaels. He spoke with such kindness that he convinced me into teaching religion for 10 years at St Michaels.
He was a true Monk. Finally got used to being around the children and allowed us to have mass with the them doing the liturgy and various parts of the mass. They loved their participation and especially all the Maw Maws and Paw Paws.He even allowed us to have a Christmas play in the church.
Father Baptised both my grandson and son and at the same time he gave my disabled son his first Holy Communion and Confirmation.
He came to my home many times to give us Communion because of one of my sons illness.
He allowed one of my sons to clean St.Michaels Church. He takes so much proud in doing this job.Father always would thank him for doing such a good job.
He still cleans St Michaels everyweek after all these years.
We missed Father William when he left St Janes/St MIchaels and will always remember him with much affection.
God Bless You Father Will.In our prayers always,
JoAnne Ehrhard and Family
