We are moving back to Ponchatoula LA after being displaced from Gentilly for the past 26 months. What a shock to see Bill's obituary in the Augusta Chronicle. Mr. Bill was a dear friend of my dad and Uncle Eddie. My sincere sympathy to Joe and Linda and the rest of your family on your loss. God bless you all. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

It has been a pleasure knowing Bill since we moved to the North Shore and especially working with him as a Director of the Beau Chene Homeowners Association. The community will sadly miss this fine man.

Dear Laughlin Family: I am so very sorry for your loss. Bill and Carolyn were two of my very favorite people and it was my great pleasure to have known them and socialized with them during the years I lived next door. I loved to hear all their stories, it was like listening to a living history and civics lesson. I had so hoped to visit with Bill again and I am so sorry that I missed that, but I will always remember both of them with the greatest affection. I worked for Bill Laughlin in 1970's at Furlow-Laughlin Equipment on Veterans Highway. I was his administrative assistant for a couple of years.
I really liked Bill he was a wonderful boss and a good friend.
