Dear Betty, I was sad for you when I read about the passing of your beloved husband. I remember you from our years at Covington High where you always were so pretty with a zest for life. I met Virgil once time and gathered from reading the obit. that you had an interesting life with him.

Mrs. Holmes, Your care of Mr. Holmes during his illness was nothing short of heroic. You should be very proud of the job that you and Ms. Dot did. I know you are going to miss him terribly but know that we will all be here for you. I will be checking on you soon.
Ms Betty My mom said to send you her condolences on the loss of your husband. She (Geraldine Perilloux Carter) said that my dad (Sidney Carter) had thought highly of your husband for the way he treated people. She said he treated everyone (with respect and interest) the same regardless of their status, education or occupation. He sounds like someone I would have liked to have met. My prayers to you during your time of loss.
