Bill & I worked together many years ago at an insurance company; he was a good friend and I am sorry to learn of his passing. Bill and his family will be remembered in my prayers
Bill has been part of my life since the day I was born. He was the first adult in my life who I never called 'Mr.' -he was just Bill. A Down to earth, funny, crazy man who was a great fishing buddy. He taught me to water ski, how to clean n cook fish, to not take life so serious and most of all to always be able to laugh at yourself. Thanks for the memories and laughs.
How do you say goodbye to a good friend of 64 years? To a friend you hung out with in your late teens and early twenties, you roomed with in college, you were best man in his wedding, and he in yours, your families spent many summers camping in Gulf Shores and the Smokies, one you hiked trails with in the mountains, one you went fishing with, your families enjoyed Christmas and New Years together, and many other events. Well, at my age, I don't. So, I'll just say "Bill, old friend, I'll see you later".
I am so glad I got to meet Bill and spend time with him over the years during my visits to Hammond to see my Uncle Ray. Bill always brightened my day and treated me like family. I will miss him very much.

Bill was a great story teller. We so enjoyed the visits he and Vondelle made to our home on the way to visit the family in California. We will miss you, Willy. RIP. Our love goes out to the Golden family.
