I have just recently learned of Freeman's passing, and I am saddened to learn of this.I am a long-time friend of his family, and spent much time years ago visiting with them.Freeman was the first person to show me photos of the beautiful and historic ares of New Mexico. I have a great interest in history and archaeology and when I saw his photos of this area,I knew I would visit someday. When Hurricane Katrina took my home and the homes of just about all of my family members,I went to live in the "Four-Corners" area where Colorado,Utah,Arizona,New Mexico meet. Here,I visited some of the exact sites Freeman once showed me the photos of.I lived in the South-West in Colorado and New Mexico, and visited and relic-hunted and photographed many, many Pre-Historic Indian sites and ruins and mission churches. Freeman and his family were always very kind to me,and a pleasure to visit. I spent many hours at their home ,having dinner and exploring the Tchefuncte River with him and his brother Frank.Freeman had a unique, natural bond with nature, and I thought that he was a wonderful source of knowledge,as is his brother Frank ,whom I visited often.I offer my condolences to Frank and Kathy and their families as I consider Freeman and all his family as some of the finest people I have ever known and miss them.----From: GREGG GAGLIANO
