William Peter Buckley, Jr.'s Obituary
William P. Buckley, Jr., age 88, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2008. Mr. Buckley was born February 29, 1920 in New Orleans, LA to Johanna and William P. Buckley, Sr.
He was a WWII veteran and served with the 2nd Infantry.
Preceded in death by his wife, Alice Dubourg Buckley, parents, brothers Wilmer and Bernard Buckley. Survived by his sister, Mary Buhler, step-daughters, Ruth Renz and Cathy Barrett. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his friend, Stephanie Rester.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 28088 Main St., Lacombe, LA 70445. Visitation, AT THE CHURCH, on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time.
Interment in Mandeville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Hospice Care of LA, 770 Gause Blvd., Ste. C, Slidell, LA 70458.
