When I was a stuggling teenager(in the 80's) Bill brought me into his family and tried to mold a kid into a man. First hand I learned what it was to be a man of God. He was an authentic Christ follower and modeled Christ's love by serving others and living an honorable life. He was a leader, a man of character, kindness, emotion and love. His love for his wife was unconditional and she adored him. His daughters and grandkids were infatuated with him. He seemed to know everybody and never spoke an unkind word of anyone. His humor was infectous and I loved to hear him laugh. I sought his approval and he gave freely. When I let him down, he met me with grace and support. He was the best man I have ever known. I am sad at his passing, not for his sake because i know where he is now, but because the world is a lesser place without him.
