William "Bill" Day's Obituary
William “Bill” Day, age 67, of Covington, LA. passed away peacefully on July 14, 2023 surrounded by his family. He died from complications after heart surgery. Bill was an alumnus of Warren Easton High School in New Orleans, LA and Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA. Bill is survived by his wife Janice Day, sons Jake Day (and Crystal) of Moss Bluff, LA and Ross Day (and Melissa) of Bush, LA, his 7 grandchildren, his brothers Jim Day of San Francisco, CA and Fred Day of Moncks of Corner, SC. He is preceded in death by his parents, James H. Day Sr. and Elva M. Day.
A Private Service for the family and Interment were held at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens (adjacent to Fielding’s Funeral Home) in Covington, Louisiana. Janice wishes to thank First Baptist Church in Covington, LA for 32 years of friendship and fellowship along with all his coworkers at St. Tammany Parish Hospital whom he loved and respected and to the host of other family and friends who loved him and were part of this beautiful Christian man’s life. He will surely be missed.
