William Phillip Barker, Sr.'s Obituary
William Phillip Barker, Sr. died at age 61 on Saturday, August 4, 2007.
He was the son of the late Elwood and Amelia Allison Barker and was a life resident of the Lee Rd. Community. Bill was the loving husband of Cynthia Kaim Barker; father of Richard T. Barker, William P. Barker Jr. and daughter-in-law Kumiko Kaneshima Barker; brother of E. Kenneth Barker, Mary Ellen Barker, K. Elizabeth McLain, Olive “Bobbie” Keller and Deborah L. Barker. He is also survived by two grandsons: William “Trey” Barker III, Katsuya Justin Barker and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 729.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Funeral Services on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Inc., 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433. A wake will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2007 from 6-9:00 PM with visitation beginning Wednesday at 10:00 AM.
A private committal service will take place at the J.M. Fussell Cemetery in Covington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fitzgerald United Methodist Church Building Fund, 80185 Fitzgerald Church Rd., Covington, LA 70435.
