Ken Hardy
A great, loving, and multi-talented man, husband and father. Woos, Will, or W.A., as he was affectionately called, was a man of impeccable character, integrity, honesty and good humor. He was a loyal and supportive husband to his wife, Clare Gaudet Hardy, for over 60 years, and a selfless, dedicated family provider. He served in the Air Force in WWIi and afterwards ascended from the ranks of office boy to vice president of the Kansas City Souther Railroad. A talented maven of golf and aviation, he was admired and respected by his many friends, business/political associates, and family members, especially for his leadership, social skill, remarkable sense of calm and fairness, and extraordinary mechanical, electrical, marine, construction and automotive talent. He was simply adored by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and left a legacy of beloved, overachiever offspring. A relatively quiet and humble individual, Bill Hardy was enormously capable, unassuming, and friendly, and was relied upon by many, many individuals for his prodigious guidance, unending support, and uncompromising friendship. His extraordinary love of aviation as both a general aviation and an R\C pilot was legendary, as were his remarkable problem-solving, handy-man, and peacemaker abilities. His wife had a wonderful husband who simply adored her, and his two children had the best father in the world.
Kenneth J. Hardy, M.D., Ph. D. (Son)
