Wilfred Charles Cotaya's Obituary
Wilfred Charles Cotaya passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the age of 90. He was born on Friday, January 14, 1927 to Gertrude Doucet and Milton E. Cotaya, Sr., a native of New Orleans. He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Army and has called Mandeville, LA his home for the past 35 years.
His beloved wife of 56 years, Anna May Pinto Cotaya departed from his side and this life on June 18, 2012. Leaving behind to carry on his legacy is one daughter - Deborah Cotaya Burton (husband Henry); his son - Wayne C. Cotaya (wife Jo Anna); two granddaughters - Trisha Person (husband Jeff) and Katie Lynn Cotaya; five great grandchildren - Emma, Grace, Liam, Audrey and Penelope.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours on Wednesday will begin at 10:00 AM.
Interment at Lakelawn Park Mausoleum in New Orleans, LA will immediately follow services.
