Wil Kingston's Obituary
Wil Kingston, age 52, of Mandeville, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024. He was born on February 23, 1972, in Pecos, Texas.
He is survived by his children, Vivian, Dallas, and Savana Kingston; mother, Susan Holmes Tassey; stepfather, Gregory Tassey; siblings, Liz Tassey and Terry Sanders; ex-wife, Staci Schwittay; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Kingston; paternal grandparents, Duncan and Cecil Kingston; maternal grandparents, Corey and Ruby Holmes.
Wil grew up in Balmorhea, Texas, and moved to Colorado in the early 2000s to work as a chef. There he met Staci Schwittay, whom he married in 2004 before relocating to Madisonville, Louisiana, in 2005. Wil worked in tree service for nearly 20 years across the Northshore. He also enjoyed competing in the sport of strongman, winning 2nd place at a competition in Tampa Bay in 2009, 1st place in Alabama in 2010, and 10th place in Nationals in 2011. His best event was the keg toss. He was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, loved spending time with his family, and will be dearly missed by his family and community.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.
