Wesley Ronald Moore's Obituary
Wesley "Wes" Moore passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 surrounded by family at his home in Covington, LA. He was born on July 10, 1958 in Canton, OH to the late Ronald Edward Moore and Helen Marie Sigmund Moore.
Wesley was the beloved husband of Denise Cross Moore, with whom he shared a life for 14 years, 8 and a half of which they were married. He was the loving father of Jared Michael Jenkins and Andrew Travis Jenkins (Amber). Wesley was the proud grandfather, also known as Gandalf, of Claire, Oliver, and Olivia Jenkins. He was the brother of Donnie Moore (Karen) and Cheryl Moore. Wesley was the uncle of Noelle Moore Sereda (Dale), Brian Cross, Camden Cross Werley, and Levi William Werley. He was the son-in-law of Linda Marilyn Marsh. Wesley was the brother-in-law of Laird McDonald Cross (Mona), William Elmer Cross, and Rebecca Cross Werley (Kenneth).
Wesley graduated from Marietta College in 1980 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering. He was a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and wrote numerous papers on various subjects that he was passionate about. He also had a passion for all things fast, and got involved in The Driver's Edge performance driving group with his pride and joy, a Competition Orange Mustang GT. He eventually made it to instructor level, and did that for some time before he had to stop due to his illness.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 with visitation from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at which time a service will follow. Following cremation, interment will take place at Northlawn Cemetery, Canton, OH, at a date to be determined.
