Wendy passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025 at the age of 57 after a 22 month battle with ALS. Wendy was born in Metairie, LA on December 13, 1967.
Wendy was a devoted Christian who loved everyone and prided herself in spreading the Gospel. Wendy never met a stranger and always welcomed everyone with open arms.
Wendy is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Brad and her wonderful, supportive, and loving son Taylor (Paige). Also survived by a daughter, Breigh. Also survived by her loving and compassionate mother, Judith Gauthreaux, adoptive father Joseph Gauthreaux, sisters Jodi Tassin (Greg) and Jennifer Gauthreaux. Survived by her brothers, Noel Gauthreaux (Bridgett) and Robert Gauthreaux.
Wendy was preceded in death by her birth father Harold Lee, her brother Joey Gauthreaux and her grandparents.
Wendy was a native of Metairie, LA and currently resided in Covington, LA. She was a graduate of Independence High School and a proud member of the dance team. Wendy had numerous jobs and retired as a Para-professional at Mandeville Elementary.
Wendy was loving, compassionate, and most of all a very caring person to all. She loved going to the beach and more recently camping. She also enjoyed our monthly game nights with our dear friends. She was a devoted Christian who loved her church, family, friends, and most importantly our Lord and Savior-Jesus Christ. She was respected by all that knew her and will be dearly missed. Her spirit and tender nature will be missed by all and remembered forever.
The Blouin Family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the care given by Egan Hospice. We will also forever be indebted to the Gleason Foundation.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025 at St. Timothy’s on the Northshore Methodist Church 335 Asbury Dr. Mandeville, LA 70471. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM. There will be a gathering to celebrate Wendy’s life with refreshments immediately following the service in the church Family Life Center.

Finally, we would like to thank our Jeep Club Northshore Wrangler Association for their Love and Support. They organized fundraisers with assistance from other Jeep and car clubs. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
