Warren Robert Privette Sr.'s Obituary
Warren Robert Privette, Sr. entered eternal rest peacefully on the evening of September 22, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was 82 years old and born in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 27, 1941 to Ralph Haynes Privette and Cecile Estelle McLaughlin (“Stella”) Privette.
He is survived by his loving children: Warren R. (“Chip”) Privette, Jr. (Johnette) of Opelousas, Louisiana; Patricia Privette (“Trisha”) Patterson (Chris) of Largo, Florida; and Christopher H. (“Chris”) Privette of Atlanta, Georgia. Warren was the proud grandfather of Annie and Ben Patterson and Aaron and Andre Privette. He was the caring brother of Dorothy Privette (“Dottie”) Frederick and Susan Privette (“Sue”) Hammett. Warren will also be dearly missed by a multitude of nieces, nephews, and wonderful lifelong friends, especially Mr. Charles L. (“Chuck”) Harrington and Ms. Mildred D. (“Millie”) Schreve.
Warren was preceded in death by parents Ralph and Stella Privette and his brother, Ralph H. Privette, Jr.
Warren was a native of Abita Springs, Louisiana and most recently a proud resident of Big Lake near Lake Charles, Louisiana. He graduated high school from St. Paul’s High School in Covington, Louisiana and college from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana. He was a human resources and government affairs professional for most of his career and retired from Roy O. Martin Lumber Company in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Warren was charming, witty, and warm. He enjoyed cooking for others and spending time outdoors, especially sport fishing for speckled trout and redfish in the beautiful marshes of Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. Warren was unique and irreplaceable, as well as respected and loved. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, but his jovial spirit and tender nature will remain in the memories of his many cherished family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Warren’s funeral mass at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple Street, Abita Springs, Louisiana, 70420 on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 12:00 PM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will take place in Abita Springs Cemetery following the mass.
