Warren Joseph Brechtel's Obituary
Warren Joseph Brechtel, Sr. was taken by the Lord on Friday, February 27, 2015 at the age of 85. He was a native of New Orleans, graduate of Jesuit High School and Tulane University, and resident of Covington for 33 years.
Warren was married to his beloved wife, the late Marilyn Kinsella Brechtel, for 57 years and together they had four children, Warren Jr., Karen, Terry, and Mary Brechtel. Son of the late Warren Christopher Brechtel and Jennie Ernst Brechtel and brother of Iris Brechtel and Weldon Brechtel. Blessed Grandfather and “Gumpy” to nine grandchildren, Kimberly Moore, Stefanie Bican, Reagan and Rhett Anderson, Colleen and Brian Martinez, Danielle, Mariele and Andrew Estes, and three great grandchildren, Kaleb, Grady, and Porter Moore.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 20370 Smith Rd., Covington, LA, at 11:00 AM with Visitation at church beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Benedict Catholic Church, (985) 892- 5202.
