Warren Curtis Brandes' Obituary
Warren Curtis Brandes passed away on Monday, August 3, 2009. He was born May 13, 1926 in La Moure, North Dakota to the late Karl and Caroline Kaloubeck Brandes and has been a resident of Covington for over 30 years.
The beloved husband of Helena Sokolski Brandes, he is survived by one daughter, Lisa C.O. Brandes of New Haven, CT; his son: William C. Brandes of Las Vegas, NV and five grandchildren: Caleb W. and Caylee M. Brandes, Hannah R. and Holly A. Belcher and Charles H. McLean. Dutch was an Army Air Corps veteran of Word War II and until his retirement was an attorney for the St. Paul Insurance Companies.
Friends and relatives are welcome to join the family in a time of memorial visitation from 10:00-11:30 AM on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Prayer and a blessing will immediately follow visiting hours.
Committal rites will be held at a later date in La Moure, North Dakota.
In lieu of flowers, donations for the completion of the fence around the historic Covington Cemetery #1 may be made to the Greater Covington Civic Association, P.O. Box 86 Covington, LA 70434.
