Wanda Fisher Yost's Obituary
Wanda Fisher Yost of Mandeville, La died peacefully on February 1, 2018 surrounded by her children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph G. Yost and daughter, Laura Jeanne, and her parents, Michael C. Fisher, and Mary C. Fisher. She is survived by her sister Eileen Lunnemann (Bernie) of Florence KY.
Mother of Diana Y. Gegenheimer (Paul) of Ellijay, GA, Dr. Catherine L. Yost of Akron, OH, Rebecca Y. Burke (Danny) of Mandeville, LA, David J. Yost of Carrollton TX, Paul C. Yost of West Chester, OH, and Stephen A. Yost (Marie) of Metairie, LA.
Grandmother to Melissa Hall (Robert), Alex Godofsky (Michelle), Ian Godofsky, Daniel Burke (Amy), Mollie Leblanc (Thomas), Melanie Burke, Michael Burke, Andrew Yost (Nicole), and Charles Yost (Anna), and great grandmother to Cora Hall, Madison Yost, and Declan Burke. Wanda is also survived by a niece and several nephews.
Wanda, a former school teacher, was a past volunteer at Lakeview Hospital, and a member of H2U. She loved to travel, play cards, and work on her jigsaw puzzles. She also loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Bailey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, February 06, 2018 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Tuesday, from 10:00 AM to service time.
Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Covington, LA.
In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
