Walter Michael MacKay's Obituary
Walter Michael MacKay passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at his home in Lacombe, LA. He was born on November 22, 1950 in New Orleans, LA to the late Beverly S. MacKay and Marguerite Terese MacKay.
Walter was the beloved husband of Sandra Guth MacKay for 50 years. He was the loving father of Michelle MacKay (Kris). Walter was the proud grandfather of Devin and Brett MacKay (their mother, D’Layne). He was the uncle of Ernie Guth (Carrie) and great uncle to Owen and Olivia Guth. He was the brother of Beverly M. Guillot (the late Larry), the late Janet M. Tedesco (Johnny) and Bruce W. MacKay. Walter will be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Walter was a career contractor in St. Tammany Parish and owner of Exterior Building Repairs and Coating in Mandeville, LA for 30 years. He loved his work and cared for his employees.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM AM with visitation from 12:00 Noon until service time. Interment will follow the service at Mandeville City Cemetery, Mandeville, LA.
