I will always remember your dad as a great coach, mentor, and referee. Walter coached our American Legion team for 3 years while I was growing up in Roswell. He also officiated many of my high school basketball and baseball games and was the "best" referee in the state of New Mexico. The thing I remember most about him was his great sense of humor. Ida - I am so very sorry to learn of Walter's death. I can't express how much I enjoyed our friendship the many years we all lived in Gulfport. Memories..... all good.
Judy, Bubba, Jeannie, Liz, and Molly - Your dad was a good man. I know he did a lot for those less fortunate, and he will be doubly blessed in heaven with our Father.
May God give you all the strength you need at this sad time. But - rejoice because you know where he is, and you will see him again.
