Walter Hand's Obituary
Walter Hand passed peacefully away on Friday, October 24, 2025. He was born in Moss Point, MS on July 28, 1953.
He was the beloved husband of Heidi Hand; father of, Keisha Hand Olson, Philip Shayne Hand and Kayla Hand; Paw Paw of, Kelsie Kelt (Cameron), Danielle Bauer and Hunter Hand; brother of Rosalie Knight and James Hand. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and cousin to many who and loved by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents Priscilla Moxley Hand and Walter Green Hand; sister, Rosalie Knight and his beloved son, Philip Shayne Hand.
A graduate of Bogalusa High, Walter joined the United States Army and left as a veteran. Throughout his life he had many occupations and talents, but the most important was providing for and loving his family.
He was an amazing man and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Mr. Hand be made to St. Joseph Abbey or the St. Tammany Humane Society.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington LA 70433 on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM with visitation on Thursday beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in Mandeville Cemetery.
