Wallace Elzie Lee's Obituary
Wallace E. Lee passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012. He was born June 9, 1927 in Albany, LA to the late Alfred James Lee and Barbara Wells Lee and was a long time resident of Covington, LA.
He survived two wives, the late Sabra Cruse Lee and the late Odell Garrison Lee and is survived by his dedicated and loving wife Ruth Green Lee. The father of Lewis C. Lee, he helped to raise his step-daughter, Velma Hunt and was grandfather to Melissa H. Dupre. He was the brother of Alvin C. Lee, Earl Franklin “Tommy” Lee, Mary Nell LaBiche and the late James M. Lee. He is also survived by a host of other family members and devoted friends including step-children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at New Zion Baptist Church, 17387 New Zion Church Rd. Covington, LA 70435.
Visiting hours at the church will begin Wednesday at 10:00 AM.
Interment at Barker McManus Cemetery will immediately follow services at the church.
