Walburga “Burgie” Lamkin passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the age of 86.
Beloved wife of the late Charles E. Lamkin, Sr. Loving mother of Charles E. Lamkin, Jr. (Debra), George D. Lamkin, Joyan Hughes and Cindy L. Wallace. Daughter of the late Mathilde Kinler Mayer and Benjamin Mayer. Sister of Marion Hartman, Gracie Burton, Beverly Westcott and the late Benjamin Mayer, Mathilde Hefer and Edna Williamson. Grandmother of Jennifer Brunning, Sandra Jones, Kenny Penton, Lesley Hughes, Dr. Eric Wallace, Jr. and Kristen Sameluk. Great-grandmother of Charlee Brunning, Payton Brunning, Cameron Smith, Lynleigh Leyton, Daniel Wallace and David Wallace. Also loved by Eric Wallace, Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Thursday beginning at 9:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Crawford Cemetery in Bush, LA.
