Wade Charles Mott, age 72 of Covington, LA died on Monday, August 22, 2016, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA. Born, Saturday, November 13, 1943 in New Orleans, LA to Gerard C. Mott and Mabel C. Aime Mott.
Survived by his Wife - Linda Fortier Mott, Sons - Jeffrey W. Mott (Laura), Stephen B. Mott (Mandy), and Jason C. Mott (Tammie), Grandchildren - Justin Mott, Alex Mott, Blake Mott, Macie Mott, Cullen Mott, and Kade Mott, Brother – Gary Mott, Sr., Sister – Lisa Dugger and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his Father - Gerard C. Mott, Mother - Mabel C. Aime Mott and Sister – Jane Guidry.
Wade was a lifelong resident of Covington. He graduated from St. Paul’s High School in 1962. He was a Bar Pilot and retired from the association in 2000 after 27 years of service. Wade was a lifelong horseman. He began with riding horses as a child to quarter horse shows and for many years Thoroughbred racing. He belonged to the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 9:00 AM to service time.
Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Covington, LA.
In Lieu of flowers donation may be made to the American Diabetes Association and St. Paul’s Catholic High School.
