Vivian Fitzmorris Braud's Obituary
Vivian Fitzmorris Braud passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2010. A native of Covington, LA, she was born November 24, 1923 to the late James A. and Hannah Bruhl Fitzmorris.
The beloved wife of John O. Braud, Jr. for 65 years, she is survived by her daughter, Cynthia B. White (Ben); two sons, Kenneth D. (Fran) and Robert J. Braud (Cheryl); seven grandchildren: Virginia Braud, Michelle Knoll (Dylan), Peter Braud, Thomas and Johnny Braud, Dione Yager (Ron) and Doug White (Rena); one sister, Tillie Lavigne and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five sisters: Retha Fitzmorris, Rachel Rogers, Gladys King, Ina Mae Borne, Cecile Dominguez and four brothers: Monroe, Hardy, Joseph and Kenzie Fitzmorris. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 11, 2010 from St. Benedict Catholic Church, 20307 Smith Rd., Covington, LA 70435.
Visiting hours at the church will begin Saturday at 9:00 AM.
Interment will immediately follow mass at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
E.J. Fielding Funeral Home of Covington, LA has been entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: St. Benedict Catholic Church, New Zion Baptist Church Lunch Ministry or to The Light House for the Blind.
