To Carroll, Kim, Eric, family & friends, my heart goes out to you. It's hard to lose a loved one, we all do or will, never easy but we all face it.
Earleen loved many things, Carroll, her kids, grand-kids, family & friends, she had a lot of them. No, I din't forget or leave out dancing. New Orleans became the home she loved, maybe more than Portsmouth. Now she is in a new home.
The Bible tells us that Jesus went to prepare a place for us & I believe that Earleen is in that place & now preparing a home for Carroll & those who will one day join her in Heaven.
She has no more pain, no more illness or worries. As the words in Afterglow share, I believe she has a message for the rest of us who remain on this Earth. "I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave a afterglow of smiles when the day is gone. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times, and laughing tiems, and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun, of happy memories that I leave when life is done."
I remember her smile, her laugh, & her thoughts for others, herself take the back seat to give you the front.
May our Lord Jesus Christ, bless & keep you until that day when you gather on that other shore. Amen.
