Vincent "Vinny" John Gagliano's Obituary
Vincent (Vinny) John Gagliano, age 82, passed away peacefully at his home on September 11, 2014. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Pearl River, LA for 28 years, Mr. Gagliano was a member of the US Air Force where he served during the Korean War and was also a member the Louisiana Air National Guard. He was a retired contractor/custom millwright and former owner of V.J. Custom Woodworks.
Beloved husband of the late Bernadette Ventura Gagliano - he is also preceded in death by his parents: Eunice Templet Gagliano and Benny Gagliano Sr. as well as his younger brother, Joseph Adam Gagliano and sister-in-law Lettie Gagliano.
He is survived by his three children: Michael V. Gagliano (Helen), Julie Gagliano Foll (Richard) and Mark G. Gagliano as well as two brothers: Benny Gagliano (Valeria) and Johnny Gagliano (Kay). He is also survived by four grand-children: Jared Acosta (Tanya), Sean Foll (Christine), Michelle Cook (Wayne) and Denise Foll. He leaves behind nine great-grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews and special friend Edith Bernard.
A ‘Celebration of his Life’ will be held at a later date. Donations in his honor can be made to Notre Dame Hospice – 1000 Howard Avenue (10th floor) – New Orleans, LA 70113.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Life at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Sunday, September 28th from 1:00pm until 3pm.
