The last time I saw Vinny he came to my house in the middle of the night and I was so mad at Jon for inviting him and not telling me cause we had been sick and my house was a wreck, I didn't want him to see it dirty lol he came in and talked to me for hours and I wondered where the heck did the time go he was so grown up and handsome. I told him it was a shame he was so much younger we would've had fun. Him and Jon laughed and Jon said too bad we get to have fun now. I went to bed knowing they would do something they weren't supposed to then and sure enough they took the car for a ride so Vinny could show Jon all the upgrades especially those dang cup holders I heard about for a month. Before he left I told him I was proud of him and I loved him like always, to be careful and to come back and see us. He promised he would as he left but stopped at the door and looked over at me and said oh hey I love ya too. I told my husband when they walked out that that was the first time he ever told me he loved me too. Finally he wasn't too cool to tell his big cousin he loved her ☺️ He melted my heart a little that night. It's a good thing too cause I was so mad at them joyriding that late while I was asleep lol. I miss hearing about whatever him and Jon were texting about and seeing his face on social media and stopping to catch up via internet. But I think most of all I am ashamed and deeply disappointed in myself that I wasted so much time with housework and stupid crap that I never called him and tony up and said hey guys how are you or let's get something to eat and catch up. I can guarantee I will not go another year without seeing my cousins at least once from now on.

Regretfully, it's been around 10 years or so since I've seen Vinny. Last time I'd seen him though, he had recently gotten an electronic drumset. He had obviously been practicing... Because when he wanted to show me his drumming, I expected a kids drumming...But instead he put on a video of Dream Theatre playing live... Vinny sat down at his set...& Played along with the song... Now in case you didn't know, Mike Portnoy of Dream Theatre is an incredible drummer...One of the best...& This little kid played along, hitting around 90% of the notes...He was an amazingly talented person & had a lot of potential. We spent the next half hour talking music, watching YouTube videos of our favorite drummers, & each of us taking turns on the kit. I wish I could've heard him play recently...And really regret missing so much of his terribly short life. Just to hear friends & family talk about him, you know he was loved & returned that love to others...R.I.P. Vinny... Hope you're still killing those drums wherever you're at.
