Victor "Buddy" Reynolds Ford III's Obituary
Victor “Buddy” Reynolds Ford III passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the age of 74. He was born and raised in New Orleans, lived in Gentilly and Chalmette, and was a resident of Mandeville for the past 18 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed a long successful career as a Structural Draftsman in the Oil and Gas Industry and assisted his wife in her Tupperware Sales career of 45 years. He served his state and country in the Marine National Guard Reserve for 8 years.
He is preceded in death and reunited with his parents, Victor Reynolds Ford, Jr. of New Orleans and Elvera Manieri Ford of Bay St. Louis, MS., his sister Patsy Ford Chapman of Jackson, MS., and nephew Kenny Rey Chapman of Jackson, MS, along with his grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife and best friend of nearly 53 years, Diane Zitzmann Ford, and their 3 children, Renée Ford Johnson (John) of Metairie, Christopher R. Ford (Keri) of Hendersonville,TN, and Darrin J. Ford of Mandeville. He was a cherished grandfather of 5, Corey, Ryan, and Mark Johnson, and Kirsten and Colby Ford.
He is remembered as a hardworking, humble, and kind gentleman. He was generous and made friends easily. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Saturday beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Masses said for the Ford Family or donations to cover hospital costs. E.J.
