I will miss talking to Vernie when I shop at Walmart.She was always so kind and happy. I always left with a smile. She touched so many lives, without knowing it. She will be missed. Prayers for her and her family.
I was totally shocked today when I went to her check-out counter and saw the notice that she had passed.She was so very sweet and kind, you don't get that in very many people these days. Condolences to her family and friends. God bless.
I just found out today when I went to Walmart about Vernie’s passing. They had a table set up in her memory. We met many years ago her son Brian and my son Jared went to school together and played football together. We sat and cheered them on from little boys to Covington High. She was a sweetheart and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. Walmart will not be the same. My heart goes out to her family. Lots of prayers to her children and grandchildren.

Ms. Vernie was a angel here on earth. We got to know each other a little better as I was friends with Kevin and I went over to the house for him to help me out with voice for a song I was going to sing. Each time I saw her through the years we always stopped to catch up on things. I never saw her without her bright smile and her warm hug to give. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. She will be missed by many.

I never got to know Vernie, but I know how well-loved her daughter Vicki is. Vicki is full of kindness and grace and goodness she learned from Vernie. In Vernie's friends and family, she will live on.
