"Uncle Bill" William Conrad Edgett's Obituary
William Conrad (“Uncle Bill”) Edgett, 71, died on March 4, 2015.
Bill is survived by his wife, Peggy Richardson Edgett; his children, Billy (Cindy) Edgett and Debbie (Jimmy) Thibodeaux; his grandsons, Hunter and Christian Thibodeaux; his stepchildren, Ti (Ben) Rencher, Dena Richardson, Mack (Lindsey) Richardson, and Heather (Lance) McCloud; his brother, Steve (Marilyn) Edgett; his sister, Barbara (Jerry) Boyce; and numerous step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. All will miss his generous spirit and kind smile.
Bill was born on November 9, 1943, to Marian Dahl and William Edgett. He grew up in Chalmette, Louisiana, and attended Chalmette High School and Louisiana State University. Bill had a long career in the oil industry until his retirement in 2007. Bill was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He was happiest out on his boat, surrounded by family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM with visitation on Monday beginning at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation in memory of Mr. Edgett to be made to Maria Lutheran Church, 301 County Rd 7 W., Kennedy, MN 56733 or Stem Cell Foundation, 101 Judge Tanner Blvd. Suite 502, Covington, LA 70433.
