Twila Hensley Hoy's Obituary
Twila Fern Hensley Hoy passed away on October 29, 2015 at the age of 88. She was the cherished wife of the late Henry E. Hoy for 67 years, and loving mother of Suzanne Crow (Stephen) of Madisonville and Laura Rae Prall (David) of Johns Creek, Georgia. She was the proud grandmother of Leslie Dunn (Matt) of Roswell, Georgia and Derek Prall of Atlanta, Georgia; great-grandmother of Luke and Lila Dunn; and special aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Born on October 27, 1927 in St. Albans, West Virginia, Twila was the youngest daughter of the late Sherman Benjamin and Sarah Frances Thompson Hensley. She was preceded in death by her five brothers - Woodville, Greenville, Daniel, Howard and Burlyn and three sisters - Mary, Ruth and Ruby. She was a quick-witted, independent woman and fiercely protective of those she loved.
A resident of Covington for the past 12 years, Twila was a member of First Baptist Church Covington. At her request, service and burial will be private. Please honor her memory with a donation to First Baptist Church Senior Ministry, 16333 Highway 1085, Covington, LA 70433. Special thanks to the management and staff at The Trace in Covington for their loving kindness and support; to the doctors and nurses at St. Tammany Hospital/Hospice for their quality care and concern; and to David Rockett for his faithful visits and comforting prayers.
