Siegrist family…. I write this note with a saddened heart as I am just learning of your mother's passing.
Mrs. Tommie was most recently in my thoughts and prayers as I attended the funeral service of Miss Willie Paretti. Your mother was a cherished member and founder of the Krewe of Eve. It was a privilege for me to meet so many talented and gifted men and women. Miss Tommie's talents: floral arrangements, costume design and art helped make the Krewe what it is today. It is my hope that you and the grandchildren have inherited her gifts of kindness, charity, sociability and friendship. I still possess some of your mother's created art, as it was passed to me from a very dear and close friend of hers, my mother. With much respect and sincerity, I truly regret not being able to attend the funeral service. My wife and I were out of the country at the time of her passing. Kim, so sorry to hear of your loss. I well remember when you and your Mom were in Memphis and came by to visit my mother (Dooty Krouse Tutwiler). She was so thrilled to see you both and spent time looking through some of the old Krouse family photos. Sending thoughts and prayers for you and the entire family.

Tommie was such a wonderful friend to my mom, Phyllis Stram. She was also someone I regarded as a friend too. Last year I remember having lunch with she, Kim, and my mom when I was in town. We had such a nice time. I also remember all those times my brother, Gary and I met at your house in the morning while you all were getting ready for school and talking to Tommie about high school life before driving off to Mandeville High in that red mustang.

I am so sorry for your loss. My mother, Beth LeBlanc, always spoke so highly of her niece. I have childhood memories of visiting with your family in Montgomery, AL. Upon reading her obituary, it sounds like she had a tremendous impact on a lot of lives. It sounds like she was a true Krouse, very much like I remember her grandmother Jessie. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family.
