Timothy Michael Williams' Obituary
Tim was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, where he graduated from Rockhurst High School. After graduation, he moved to Louisiana to play football for Louisiana State University under Coach Charlie McClendon. While at LSU he was also a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, and served as Magister. After graduating from LSU, Tim worked in the oil and gas industry in New Orleans for many years. In 1991, he began his career at Entergy in New Orleans, where he was a Senior Staff Financial Analyst at the time of his death.
In 1993, Tim and his family moved to Covington, where he became active in the community. He served as a Board Member of the Covington Planning and Zoning Commission under Mayor Keith Villere and was a member of the 2008 Leadership St. Tammany Class. Tim was an active member of the LSU Alumni Association and the Tiger Athletic Foundation. He was a member of The Bienville Club and several Carnival organizations in New Orleans and Covington. He was an accomplished jazz and classical pianist. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends.
A Memorial Service celebrating the Holy Eucharist will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 S. New Hampshire Street, in Covington. Visiting hours in the Church Commons Room will begin at 11:30 AM on Friday. Following the Service, the family invites friends and relatives to join them to celebrate Tim’s life at the Seiler Bar, 434 North Columbia Street in Covington.
