Timothy Brooks Moran's Obituary
Timothy Brooks Moran passed away on July 8, 2022 in New Orleans, LA. He was born on March 6, 1989 in Metairie, LA to Timothy King Moran and Terrie Havens Moran of Covington, Louisiana.
Brooks was the loving father of Oliver Ray Passman (Baton Rouge, Louisiana). He was the beloved brother of Matthew Havens Moran (Zhongyuan) of Beijing, China and Mary Grace Moran (Dallas, TX). Brooks was the proud uncle of Noah Moran (Beijing, China). He was preceded in death by his Grandfathers, Lynn Havens (Gulfport, MS) and Lt. Col. Ray Moran (Gulfport, MS).
Brooks grew up in Tchefuncta Estates in Covington, LA. He loved all the blessings granted by a childhood in southern Louisiana, and in his younger years, he spent as much time as he could on the Tchefuncte River with his friends. He enjoyed boating and wakeboarding, and throughout his life, boating remained one of his favorite past-times. He graduated from St. Paul’s School in 2008, where he made countless lifelong friends.
In his 33 years, Brooks never once met a stranger. Wherever he went, he instantly became everyone’s best friend, and when Brooks Moran was your friend, you had a friend unlike any other. He was endlessly caring, charismatic, quick-witted, and radiated life into everything around him. As a lover of life, soul, and music, Brooks always made his way back to his beloved city of New Orleans, where he was a pillar in his community. He was a talented self-taught harmonica player and loved playing music with his dear friends in the city. Brooks also enjoyed showcasing his dancing, another talent that he was naturally skilled at. They broke the mold when they made Brooks, but though he will be sorely missed, his energy remains through the countless lives he positively impacted.
