Tilman Morgan King's Obituary
Tilman Morgan King of Bush, Louisiana passed away from complications of the Covid 19 virus at Lakeview Hospital on Saturday, April 25, 2020, at the age of 87. He was born on Feburary 7 1933 in Bush, Louisiana. He was the son of the late Morgan and Pearl Jenkins King.
Tilman, better known as Pete, was well known in his community as a friend who would do anything for anyone. He worked for Prestressed Concrete for 29 years while helping construct the Lake Pontchartrain causeway bridge. He then retired from there and started working for the St Tammany Parish School board for 16 years. While he was working for these companies, he also served the residents of Ward 2 in the Bush and Folsom area as Justice of the Peace for several years and then as their Constable for a total of 39 years.
He was married to Ruby Lee Sharp and together raised 4 sons, Milford, Michael, Marcus and Tilman Scott King. Tilman is survived by his sons, Milford(Brenda) Michael(Keely) Marcus(Sharon) and Tilman Scott King. He is also survived by a brother, Cletus (Martha) King and sisters, Shirley Aaron, Betty Stein, Patsy Hamilton, Norma Sharp, Dianne (Troy) Clairain and Kety Calmes. Tilman is survived by grandchildren, Brandon King, DaKota King, Milford Wayne King, Mario Allen, Carrie King, Chris Leidenheimer, Forrest King, Hannah King Brennecke (Nick) and Julia DiGiovanni. Great-grandchildren, Travis King, Mia Carrera, and Presley Ritchie.
TIlman was preceded in death by his parents, Morgan and Pearl King, and his brother, Curtis King.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff at Pontchartrain Health Care Center for the care and love they gave to their father during the years he resided there.
Due to recent events, the family will hold a private graveside service at Marietta cemetery on April 28th.
